The St. Louis American in partnership with Regional Arts Commission St. Louis (RAC) seeks two emerging journalists, with special interest and aptitude for Arts and Entertainment coverage to fill two (2) “Living It” fellow positions: 1. Writing Fellow and 2. Photo-Video Fellow. They should have a passion for writing about or covering artists, arts institutions and arts education programs. They will have a flexible work schedule, but be required to work evenings and weekends regularly as assigned by an editor and mentor. The position pays $3,000 monthly or $36,000 annually. The fellowship begins as soon as the positions are filled and concludes June 2026.

The St. Louis American seeks a seasoned Arts & Entertainment editor to act as editor and mentor to two “Living It” fellows and help facilitate the production of content for the “Living It” section of The St. Louis American. Submissions will be accepted until the position is filled. The project concludes June 2026. This position pays $65,000 annually. The “Living It” editor will also contribute to this project, at their discretion, by writing about events that impact or engage local arts and entertainment history, including pop culture in St. Louis, and also by covering diverse local cultural trends.
