Twiliner’s Revolutionary Bus Design
The Twiliner buses feature fully adjustable seating that can transform into sleeping berths at the push of a button. Each bus has a capacity of 21 passengers, with 18 seats on the upper deck and three on the lower deck. The initial routes will connect Zurich with several major European cities. These include Zurich–Basel–Luxembourg–Brussels–Rotterdam–Amsterdam and Zurich–Girona–Barcelona, with the possibility of adding more destinations in the future. The service will initially run a few times a week, with Twiliner’s CEO, Luca Bortolani, projecting a full daily service in the near future.
A one-way ticket from Zurich to Brussels is expected to cost around €180, positioning the service as a premium offering compared to standard budget travel. While some may balk at the price, Twiliner emphasizes the exclusivity and comfort of the experience, making it an appealing choice for those willing to invest in a superior travel experience.
