The Cailloux Performances 2024-25 season has already brought three outstanding events to Kerrville, and three more will be presented ahead of a four-month break for upgrades to the roof and heating/cooling systems in the Cailloux Theater.
The series returns in the New Year with “Always Loretta” on Friday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m.
This tribute to Country Music superstar Loretta Lynn is the only one approved and supported by the Lynn family. It features Loretta’s original band, the Coalminers, and Loretta’s personally selected artist Emily Portman singing all of the greatest hits. It’s a Country Music fan’s dream.
The thrills continue on Thursday, February 6 at 7 p.m. with “ARTrageous,” the “most amazing theatrical experience of your life.” An incredible mix of music, dance and amazing real-time recreations of famous artworks before the audience’s eyes, this is a show unlike any other.
The 2024-25 season comes to a close with “Three Redneck Tenors” on Saturday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Classically trained singers Matthew Lord, Blake Davidson and Grade Lord have put together the greatest combination of outstanding music and outrageous humor ever created for the stage, and they have performed it to rave reviews around the world, including at the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and the Tokyo Opera House.
Tickets for all three shows are available for from $25 to $55.
Playhouse 2000, Kerrville’s Community Theater, presents the world premiere of “Bombshells,” a new “screwball comedy” by local playwright Lemuel Mitchell beginning January 7 in the VK Garage Theater.
The latest show in the “Playhouse NOW!” series of new works, “Bombshells” is a wacky throwback to the golden age of comedy, with slamming doors, physical hi-jinks, and a hilarious story about four would-be couples at the end of the Second World War.
General Admission tickets are just $24 each and can be purchased through the Cailloux box office, 910 Main Street, either in person or by telephone, (830) 896-9393. They are also available online at CaillouxPerformingArts.com, where a small convenience fee will apply.
