WARREN, Minn. – Organizations interested in applying for grants, ranging from $500 to $10,000, from the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, must submit applications by Feb. 28, according to an announcement from the council.
Nonprofit art organizations, communities, schools and other nonprofit organizations in the council’s service area, which covers Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau counties, are eligible to apply.
These organizations can apply for one arts project at a time.
The funding sources for these grants are Clean Water, Land and Legacy funds and general allocation funds from the state of Minnesota.
Organizations’ arts activities that may be funded through these sources include festivals, community theater projects, folk music entertainment, sponsorship of visual demonstrations, creative writing workshops and many other activities that enhance the quality of life in northwest Minnesota.
Schools in the arts council’s seven-county service area can also apply for an Artist Residency grant of $2,600, plus an additional $400, if needed, for supplies.
